John Sipala
Managing Director
John Sipala is Managing Director of Oberon Securities, a New York-based boutique investment bank addressing the financial needs of small and midsize companies across a broad range of industries. John and his team at Oberon have deep experience facilitating mergers, acquisitions and divestures, as well as raising growth capital, acquisition financing and debt capital.
John has been providing investment banking and advisory services since 1996. He approaches every engagement with a comprehensive perspective based on a unique blend of senior management operating experience, advisory and transaction expertise. He has completed numerous mid-market company transactions, focusing on both sell-side and buy-side advisory services for mid-market companies.
Prior to Oberon, he was a Senior Mergers and Acquisitions Advisor with Woodbridge International. His past work includes buy-side and sell-side engagements for companies and private equity firms in a variety of industries including IT services, business services and manufacturing. As part of his advisory practice, he has functioned in senior management positions with day-to-day responsibilities, including Chief Operating Officer of Delta Corporate Services, an information technology solutions provider in both the commercial and federal government space; and Chief Executive Officer of TCS, a leading perimeter detection and security company operating in the New York City area.
He has also held key management positions in industries such as private investment, manufacturing, service, distribution and retail, including Managing Partner at Saddle River Capital, a private investment firm; Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of a $700 million NYSE retailer; and Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors and Co-founder of MSRC Co., an independent distributor of computer and electronic components.
His operating background also includes extensive experience in financial restructuring, cost containment, operational reorganizations and strategy development. John holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the Silberman College of Business at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Cyrus Deyhimi
Advisor & Investor
Cyrus is an Advisor and Investor at Infinity Squared Ventures, is CEO of Paradigm Sample and is on the Board of Advisors for Experion Global.
Cyrus Deyhimi has 20 years of experience in the high-technology and consulting industries. His accomplishments include nearly $1B in new outsourcing business from Global 500 companies in the travel, transportation, and communication sectors. Positions he has held include HP Account Executive for Continental Airlines, Director of Market Intelligence and Contact Centers for Cendant Corporation, and President of DVI International, with clients including Goldman Sachs, and Fastwired. He has also served as Supervising Consultant for BSG Consulting and Research and Development Engineer for IBM Microprocessor Design Group.
Most recently, he was the Account Manager of Hewlett Packard’s Continental Airlines Outsourcing Relationship, for both the Application Practice and Software as a Service Practice. In this role, he managed sales, delivery, and financials. Cyrus was awarded HP’s Organic Growth Contract of the Year in 2007.
Cyrus received his undergraduate degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and his Master of Business Administration in Finance degree from NYU Stern School of Business, both with honors.
